The RollerPro rolling stanchion is designed to alleviate the problem of having to move heavy stanchions by lifting and carrying them. This model has a roller set into the base so the stanchion can be easily moved by simply tilting the post onto the roller and then pushing it using the post head.
The twin belt design of the RollerPro Twin 300 is a far more effective barrier for controlling queues or crowd movement than a single belt barrier. Single belt stanchions provide a visual guide to pedestrians whereas a twin belt stanchion forms an actual barrier. This model is recommended for very high traffic areas, large queue systems where the temptation to duck under the belt is greatest or any application where restricting access is particularly important such as security areas. Compliance with ADA regulations is an important requirement for all public facing organizations and no single belt stanchion complies with the ADA section 4.4.1 regarding “protruding objects”. The RollerPro Twin 300 does meet this requirement as the lower belt is less than 27” from the ground which allows it to be detected by the visually impaired using a cane.
A distinctive feature on this rolling stanchion is its two piece post. With the simple removal of four screws the post can be separated in the center giving access to the lower belt cassette. This enables users to replace the lower belt in the field without having to return the stanchion to the manufacturer.
Part of our premium RollerPro range the 300 model was introduced for forming large queue corrals which traditionally require a large number of stanchions. The 16’ of belt length can either be fully deployed when the queue system is set up or used to expand the queue system during peak periods. Careful design of the belt mechanism’s spring ensures the belt won’t sag even when fully extended.
The cast iron base of the RollerPro has a low profile design to minimize trip hazard and to give the base a refined look. The base is fitted with a decorative cover that matches the post finish and can be replaced if it gets scratched or worn. Floors are protected from scuffs and scratching by the RollerPro’s full coverage floor protector. This heavy duty rubber pad covers the entire underside of the base and will last the life of the stanchion.
