The twin belt design of the QueuePro Twin 300 is a far more effective barrier for controlling queues or crowd movement than a single belt barrier. Single belt stanchions provide a visual guide to pedestrians whereas a twin belt stanchion forms an actual barrier. This 16ft twin belt barrier is recommended for very high traffic areas, large queue systems where the temptation to duck under the belt is greatest or any application where restricting access is particularly important such as security areas. Compliance with ADA regulations is an important requirement for all public facing organizations and no single belt stanchion complies with the ADA section 4.4.1 regarding “protruding objects”. The RollerPro Twin 300 does meet this requirement as the lower belt is less than 27” from the ground which allows it to be detected by the visually impaired using a cane.
A distinctive feature of the QueuePro Twin is its two piece post. With the simple removal of four screws the post can be separated in the center giving access to the lower belt cassette. This enables users to replace the lower belt in the field without having to return the stanchion to the manufacturer.
Part of our premium QueuePro range the 16ft twin belt barrier was introduced for forming large queue corrals which traditionally require a large number of stanchions. The 16’ of belt length can either be fully deployed when the queue system is set up or used to expand the queue system during peak periods. Careful design of the belt mechanism’s spring ensures the belt won’t sag even when fully extended.
The QueuePro’s cast iron base has a low profile design to minimize trip hazard and to give the base a refined look. The base is fitted with a decorative cover that matches the post finish and can be replaced if it gets scratched or worn. The floors are protected from scuffs and scratching by the QueuePro’s floor protector. This is a heavy duty rubber ring stretched around the circumference of the base and will last the life of the stanchion. The full circumference design provides the best floor protection of any stanchion on the market. No matter what direction the stanchion is rolled or dragged the full circumference design gives protection to expensive flooring.
