The twin belt stanchions are a more effective barrier for controlling queues or crowd movement than a single belt barrier. Single belt stanchions provide a visual guide to pedestrians whereas a twin belt stanchion forms an actual barrier. This 3 inch twin belt barrier is recommended for large queue systems where the temptation to duck under the belt is greatest or any application where restricting access is particularly important such as security areas. Compliance with ADA regulations is an important requirement for all public facing organizations and no single belt stanchion complies with the ADA section 4.4.1 regarding “protruding objects”. This stanchion meets this requirement as the lower belt is less than 27” from the ground which allows it to be detected by the visually impaired using a cane.
The wide belts on 3 Inch Twin Belt Barrier is designed to enhance belt branding. Using our in-house digital printing capability, we can print any color, logo, design or even photographs on the belt. The large size of the belt makes this model the ideal choice for custom belt prints. The 3 Inch Twin Belt Barrier can be ordered in one of three stock finishes, black, polished stainless steel and satin stainless steel. Seven stock belt colors are available along with a range of large text safety messages such as CAUTION KEEP OUT and DANGER DO NOT ENTER. Fitted with the QueuePro’s standard safety features of a belt brake for slow, safe belt retraction and a belt lock to prevent unintended belt release, the Xtra model has an 11’ belt length.
A distinctive feature of the QueuePro Twin is its two piece post. With the simple removal of four screws the post can be separated in the center giving access to the lower belt cassette. This enables users to replace the low belt in the field without having to return the stanchion to the manufacturer.
