The twin belt design of the SafetyPro Twin 250 Fixed is a far more effective barrier for restricting access than a single belt barrier. Single belt stanchions provide a visual guide to pedestrians whereas a twin belt stanchion forms an actual barrier. This twin belt fixed base stanchion model is recommended for higher security areas where the need to stop people ducking under the belt is particularly important.
The SafetyPro Twin 250 Fixed is fitted with a 5” diameter flange with three screw holes for permanent surface mounting. Milled from a solid block of aluminum, the flange is weatherproof and designed to support the lateral loads a permanently fixed stanchion can be subjected to. An optional decorative flange cover is available. The very small diameter of the base flange makes this model ideal for high traffic areas where trip hazard may be a concern. The small diameter base is also useful where space is tight as the stanchions can be placed closer together than with a 14” diameter base of a portable stanchion.
This twin belt fixed base stanchion has the key safety features of a brake system for slow, safe belt retraction and a lock to prevent accidental belt release. Visibility is paramount to delineate restricted areas effectively. SafetyPro 250 Fixed is available in three vivid color options, yellow, red and orange as well as black. OSHA defines the use of these colors as yellow for caution, red for danger and orange as warning of equipment in use.
