The twin belt design of the SafetyPro Twin 250 provides a far more effective barrier for restricting access than a single belt stanchion. Single belt stanchions provide a visual guide to pedestrians whereas a twin belt stanchion forms an actual barrier. This twin belted safety stanchion is recommended for higher security areas where the need to stop people ducking under the belt is particularly important. The SafetyPro Twin 250 meets ADA section 4.4.1 regarding “protruding objects” as the lower belt is less than 27” from the ground which allows it to be detected by the visually impaired using a cane.
A distinctive feature of this twin belted safety stanchion is its two piece post. With the simple removal of four screws the post can be separated in the center giving access to the lower belt cassette. This enables users to replace the lower belt in the field without having to return the stanchion to the manufacturer.
A safety stanchion needs high visibility to delineate restricted areas effectively. SafetyPro Twin 250 is available in three vivid color options, yellow, red and orange. OSHA defines the use of these colors as yellow for caution, red for danger and orange as warning of equipment in use. These post colors can be matched with one of our 50+ belt options. These include solid colors, high visibility stripes and a range of preprinted safety messages. If none of these options meet your requirements our inhouse printing department can custom print your specific safety message, colors or logo.
A key feature that defines this twin belted safety stanchion as a premium model is its base. The SafetyPro’s cast iron base has a low profile design to minimize trip hazard and allow forklifts and pallet trucks to roll over it. The base is fitted with a tough ABS cover that can be replaced if it gets damaged. Floors are protected from scuffs and scratching by the SafetyPro’s floor protector. This is heavy duty rubber ring stretched around the circumference of the base and will last the life of the stanchion. No matter what direction the stanchion is rolled or dragged the full circumference design gives protection to flooring.
