WeatherMaster is a tough portable barrier ideal for restricting access to work areas. This model features a heavy duty rubber base with a curved shape to reduce trip hazard and allow forklifts and pallet trucks to roll over it. The base also has carry handles for easy movement and being made of rubber cannot rust. The large 19” diameter of the base keeps the stanchion stable even in windy conditions without the need for excessive weight. This triple belt weatherproof barrier has a steel post for durability and is powder coated for weather proofing. Its belt mechanisms are protected by being housed inside the 2.5” diameter post. Standard belt length is 11’ with a 13’ option, this is almost 50% longer than the industry standard 7.5’ belt. Longer belts require fewer stanchions, reducing purchase cost, set up times and the storage space needed when the stanchion is not in use.
The triple belt design provides the best physical barrier of any retractable belt barrier on the market. Three belts ensure that pedestrians will not duck under or climb through the belts. This model is recommended for higher security areas where the need to stop people ducking under the belt is particularly important. The WeatherMaster Triple is significantly lower in cost than panels or other types of rigid barrier while its retractable feature makes it faster and easier to set up. This triple belt weatherproof barrier meets ADA section 4.4.1 regarding “protruding objects” as the lower belt is less than 27” from the ground which allows it to be detected by the visually impaired using a cane.

A distinctive feature of this triple belt weatherproof barrier is its three piece post. With the simple removal of four screws the post can be separated in the center giving access to the lower belt cassettes. This enables users to replace the lower belt in the field without having to return the stanchion to the manufacturer.
